What Doesn’t Kill You Makes You Stronger. 10 Lucidity Colleagues Reached the Summit of Mt. Jade Rewarding the Breathtaking View.
What would it be like to stand on top at an elevation of 3,952 meters? It’s equivalent to the height of 27 Tainan Shangri-La Far Eastern Towers stacked up. Mt. Jade Main Peak has endless views and breathtaking peaks and knolls. But to see these views with your own eyes, you couldn’t reach the top by taking an elevator. It takes a lot of effort and assistance to get a glimpse of this precious treasure of Taiwan.
Under Chairman Mr. Huang’s blessing, 7 “Wonder Women” and 3 “Supermen” of Lucidity went on a great adventure to challenge climbing Mt. Jade in August 2023. This was a challenge of “time management” for IA Dept. - “After receiving the notification, we arranged class for test preparation, and arranged training at the same time, all stuck together.” It was a challenge of “stamina” for MFG1 Dept. – “The body has to endure many difficulties, especially the hypoxic environment. During the climb, I felt the challenge of physical strength and stamina.”
These challenges were overcome one by one with self-encouragement and the support of partners. The hard work of facing challenges has made the result of “reaching the summit” even greater. MFG1 Dept. mentioned “I saw the porters carrying 30kg of ingredients, supplies and even gas cylinders, using their foreheads to hold the suspenders. Whether it’s rainy or windy, they climb up just to provide each mountaineer in Paiyun Lodge could have hot meals. All the hard work isn’t what we can imagine. I really appreciate that they did all this to let us enjoy the beauty of nature.” On other hand, QC Dept. colleague mentioned the support of partners – “Actually, I’m very grateful to 3 Supermen, because they were guarding our backs and kept chatting with us, to ease our tiredness and concern of failing reaching the summit.”
This journey made Lucidity partners understand, that no matter how great the challenge is, as long as they stick together, they can conquer and reach their goal. When the sunrise turned the sky into orange, they made a promise to see each other at Mt. Jade next time.
